Alan Herron is the Owner of DEFCON Protection Services. Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Alan’s commitment to service and community began early. He was in the Boy Scouts, volunteered with Special Olympics and the Commemorative Air Force, and played multiple sports including baseball, golf, football, and basketball.

 

At age 15, Alan joined the Tulsa Police Explorer program, where he spent two years learning the fundamentals of law enforcement. The program gave him his first sense of purpose in public safety and introduced him to the camaraderie that would shape his future career. He graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in 2012.

 

He attended the Colorado Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) Academy at Trinidad State Jr. College, earning a perfect score and placement on the President’s List. His training included criminal law, defensive tactics, drug recognition, accident investigation, interview techniques, and report writing—building a strong foundation in both law enforcement and public safety.

 

In 2018, Alan returned home to Tulsa with a clear vision: to build a security company rooted in professionalism, trust, and community values. That vision became DEFCON Protection Services. Alan is a member of the Oklahoma Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, the NRA, and the Tulsa Red Castle Gun Club.
